Often the second trimester of pregnancy is the most enjoyable one. For most women, morning sickness symptoms improve or disappear altogether. The baby and womb still aren`t very big and the abdominal organs and diaphragm are relatively uncrowded. That means you may not experience constipation, backache, and other uncomfortable symptoms that can appear in the third trimester.
What`s more, your changing hormonal balance—on top of the knowledge of having successfully passed through the first trimester—may fill you with a sense of elation.
Now that all the fetal organs are in place, and systems (like the digestive, respiratory, and circulatory systems) have been laid out, the fetus is getting on with the business of growth and integration.
