HDL molecule rotation

There are two main types of cholesterol particles found in the bloodstream: HDL (high-density lipoprotein); and LDL (low-density lipoprotein). HDL is referred to as “good” cholesterol because it can pick up excess cholesterol in the bloodstream and carry it to the liver for disposal. In this way, higher levels of HDL can decrease a person`s risk of developing the artery-clogging plaques of atherosclerosis.
